Special Needs Ministries

The name “E-Service” is taken from Jesus’ encounter with a man in Mark 7:31–37. When the crowd brought a man who was deaf and had a speech impediment to Him, Jesus took him aside and said "Ephphatha," which means "Be opened," and his ears were opened and he was able to speak plainly. The mission of the “E-Service” at Chapel of the Cross is to facilitate a worship environment of understanding and appreciation for fellow Christians with special needs and to provide full access to Jesus Christ through God's Word and participation in the service. This is an interactive worship service designed for individuals with special needs, their families, and their friends, and is held one Sunday each month at 10:30 a.m. in Room 224. On the Sundays when there is no E-Service we encourage our families with special needs to worship together with the entire congregation in the santuary.

In an effort to make worship accessible to all, Chapel provides large-print bulletins and assistive listening devices available upon request. Just ask a greeter/usher and we’d be happy to assist!
