Rev. Dr. Mark Hoehner
Pastor Mark Hoehner grew up in Wisconsin and Michigan and is an avid Detroit Tiger, and Michigan Wolverine fan! He received his undergraduate degree from Concordia-Wisconsin in 1996. In 2000 he received his Masters of Divinity from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Mo, and then his doctorate in Old Testament studies also from Concordia in 2011.
Rev. James Uglum
I graduated from Concordia Chicago in 2003, as a Director of Christian Education. From there I went and served as the Director of Youth and Family Ministry for Cheshire Lutheran Church in Connecticut. In 2006 my wife Jaime and I were married and moved to Saint Louis where I began my studies at Concordia Seminary. I served as a youth worker at Chapel of the Cross in Saint Peters from 2006 till May 2010 when I graduated from the Seminary.
Andrew Nelson, Director of Family Life
Andrew Nelson was born in Joplin, MO and has lived in the Midwest his entire life. As a product of Lutheran education, he graduated from Concordia University (NE) in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and received his synodical certification (Director of Christian Education) in 2009.
Bev Piehl, Secretary
Since July 2000, I have been blessed to be a part of the office staff at Chapel of the Cross. I am originally from St. Louis but did spend 12 years living in Texas before returning to the Midwest. I have two older sisters, one who lives in St. Louis and the other who lives in Texas, and one younger brother who lives in Central Illinois.
Rev. Dr. Robert Hoehner
Robert Hoehner is a graduate of Concordia College, Ann Arbor, Michigan; Concordia Senior College, Fort Wayne, Indiana; and Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Missouri (1972). He served his year of vicarage at St. John's Lutheran Church in Chicago.
George Nelson, Director of Music
George Nelson was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, graduating from Milwaukee Lutheran High in 1966. After studying at Concordia Wisconsin and Concordia Nebraska, he graduated and we called to Our Savior Lutheran Church in Windom, MN in 1971. George has served a number of parishes in Minnesota, Missouri, and Kansas for the last 45+ years.
Andrea Weiss, Preschool Director
Andrea Weiss calls the beautiful state of Michigan home and continues to follow Big 10 football and basketball. In 2012, she graduated from Concordia-Nebraska with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Special Education.
